Many removal companies hand over a trip abroad to a partner across the border. We don’t. At Verhuisservice24, our own movers drive the whole route in our own Mercedes Actros trucks or tractor-trailer. That means the people who take your wardrobes apart in The Hague are the ones who put them back together in Lyon or Manchester. They know what is in each box and how your furniture fits together.
With 18 years of experience, we know the practical side of long journeys: driving and rest times, ferry crossings, narrow streets in old town centres and parking rules that differ from country to country.

- Neighbouring countries: Belgium, Germany and France
- Further into Europe: other destinations within Europe, by arrangement with your moving advisor
- United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
- Switzerland: also outside the EU, with the formalities that go with it
For the UK and Switzerland, customs paperwork is involved. Make sure you know in advance which documents you need to gather.
How we handle an international move
- Inventory: you tell us what you are moving via the quote tool or during a survey. Over a long distance, an accurate volume is especially important.
- Planning: your dedicated moving advisor agrees the loading day, travel day and unloading day with you, and takes access and parking at the new address into account.
- Packing and protection: furniture goes into blankets and film, fragile items into sturdy boxes. If you would like us to pack everything, choose our packing service.
- Transport and unloading: our team travels with your belongings, unloads and puts everything where you want it.
No home at your destination yet?
It often happens that the key handover abroad falls later than your departure from the Netherlands. Your belongings can then stay temporarily in our own warehouse on the Westvlietweg in The Hague. Read more about storage.
